Cooking with Grace

proceeds to support:

St. Andrew’s School founded in 1894

The mission of the school is to educate children of limited resources through a balanced academic, social and spiritual experience shaped by the Episcopal tradition and inspired by Christian faith.   Our donations will help defray the cost of tuition which is free to the students that attend St. Andrew’s School.

Dominican Republic – Partnership

Bishop Gray and his wife Karen, led several board members from the Episcopal Church Women to the DR on their first mission trip.  The travel team witnessed a magnitude of poverty, however, the people’s hearts were strong with trust and faith in the Lord.  From this experience a partnership has been formed with the Diocese of the DR under the direction of Bishop Holguin.  Education is one of the major areas of social action of the Dominican Episcopal Church which has had a long tradition of support and involvement with elementary and secondary education.  Our donations would help support a child to be educated in a private Episcopal School for $250 per year.

Transitional Home - An Ecumenical Partnership to provide faith, home and future for women at risk after incarceration.

The women of the Diocese of Virginia and the Daughters of Zelophehad have come together ecumenically to support a home for our sisters coming out of prison to transition them into everyday life.  This home will provide women transitional housing and spiritual support along with job and life skills training.  Its purpose is to empower women to move from poverty to economic self sufficiency, independence and responsibility.  Our financial help would go towards this ongoing project.
