Mission Statement of the Missionary Society

The Missionary Society of Grace & Holy Trinity seeks to serve Christ's Global Community through leadership, service and education.

About the Missionary Society

The Missionary Society of Grace and Holy Trinity is led by the Holy Spirit and a steering committee of parishioners who have a passion for the Mission of the Church.

There are many different ways for a member of The Missionary Society to participate, including prayer, leadership, education, service, and financial support.

Together this congregation of Grace and Holy Trinity will take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to Judea, Samaria, and the ends of the earth.

AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE CONCERNING MISSIONARY WORK

Last Spring, the Trustees of the Grace and Holy Trinity Endowment Fund, Inc. a grant in the amount of $50,000 to further the work of outreach and service by our Church.  The Trustees have done us a great service and have empowered us for the work of ministry and mission.

The purpose of the grant is to help create  “signature” projects that respond to the world’s needs and God’s call to us. The projects themselves are to be reviewed and supported by the Vestry.  Far more than simply funding good works, these projects are meant to facilitate hands-on involvement by the members of our Church

One grant of $50,000 was given to The Missionary Society.   The  Missionary Society was started in 2004 with the purpose of building relationships in Christ’s global community through involvement by means of leadership, education, and service. Intrinsic to this purpose is finding ways to involve the whole parish in mission.  Over the past two years, the Missionary Society has sponsored the Month of Mission, with guest preachers and educational events; coordinated two trips to Panama; raised funds for Katrina Relief; and supported the Region Ten trips to Mississippi.  Currently Kathy Colwell Hill is the leader of this group and she is supported in this work by an active Team, including the Rev. Jason Roberts.
