The Missionary Society of Grace and Holy Trinity Church is led by the Holy Spirit and a steering committee of parishioners who have a passion for the Mission of the Church.
Mission Statement
The Missionary Society of Grace and Holy Trinity Church seeks to serve Christ’s Global Community through leadership, service and education. There are many different ways for a member of The Missionary Society to participate, including prayer, leadership, education, service and financial support.
The Missionary Society Steering Committee
The members of the Missionary Society Steering Committee are Sarah Beck (President), Gregg Beck, Kris Boyd, Jean Hershey, Hal Hill, Kathy Colwell Hill, Billy McGuire, Meredith Mire, Kinloch Nelson, Mary Nelson, Lynn Purdy and Mary Williams. Carolyn Chilton is the staff liaison. There is also a representative from our Virginia Commonwealth University Campus Ministry.
Mission Trip Opportunities
Our Church has an active and on-going relationship with Belize. We have helped to build a pre-school, developed and staffed a dental clinic and we have worked with Saint Andrew’s Anglican Parish in San Ignacio, in Western Belize. A DVD is available concerning our dental clinic work and if you would like to share this with your dentist or with someone who might like to help, please contact Carolyn Chilton. You can also talk with Carolyn about the next trip to Belize which is set for the summer of 2012. We will be hosting a Music, Art and Sports Camp. Fun and Fundraisers
The Mission Society sponsors fundraisers throughout the year to raise monies for our trips. These provide an opportunity for the mission teams to build community, and give the Grace & Holy Trinity, and Richmond community, opportunities for fun, food and fellowship. All events are announced through our weekly ENEWS.
