Stewardship

The Mission of Stewardship is to see that parishioners would first embrace the spiritual need that we all have to return to God the time, talents and treasures that He has leased to us each day. Parishioners would then respond by giving with a joy that surpasses all duty.

A Stewardship Prayer

O Lord, your Son has taught us that from those to whom much is given, much will be required: Guide us to obtain our money honestly, neither injuring our neighbors nor ravaging your creation.  And help us to use wisely what we have, for the well-being of our families and all people, and for the strengthening of your kingdom in justice, beauty, and peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

GRACE AND HOLY TRINITY CHURCH

WAS PLEASED TO WELCOME

THE REV. GEOFFREY MICHAEL ST. JOHN HOARE

Guest preacher at all services on

Sunday, October 11th

The Rev. Mr. Hoare has been rector of All Saint’s Church in Atlanta, Georgia since 1998.  Prior to that he served as rector of St. Paul’s Church in Alexandria, Virginia and as assistant to the rector at Christ Church in Raleigh,NC.

A native of Great Britain, Geoffrey graduated from Eton prior to going to the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill as a Morehead Scholar.  After graduating from UNC in 1979 he returned to England where he earned a Masters at Magdalene College, Cambridge University.  He was awarded a Master of Sacred Theology (STM) from Berkeley Divinity School at Yale in 1982 prior to his ordination in 1983.

Geoffrey served as an adjunct instructor at the Virginia Theological Seminary,
while rector of St. Paul’s.

You may read Geoffrey's sermon here.

Hugh West spoke eloquently about building a strong church community as a part of our stewardship series.  You may read his remarks here.

Being a steward of the gifts God has given also means taking care of the world in which we live.  In an effort to do this the stewardship team has initiated paper recycling for our parish.

Blue cans are available around the parish.

Please make sure you use them for any type of recyclable paper.

We would like to thank Saint Pinckney for helping with this ministry.
He drives the recycle paper to the Richmond Recycling Center every Sunday.

 Do you recycle at home?

It’s easy and it is a way you and your family can be a better
steward of God’s gifts!
